SOFTWARE DEVELOPER ? Boot Code Team
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Team Lead, the successful incumbent will research, define, architect, implement and test enterprise security solutions for full disk encryption. Working as part of a team towards a common goal to release high quality, robust software according to set project deadlines, this role will also be responsible for assisting technical support as required to address urgent customer needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain software configuration, security settings and perform various software administration aspects of software product implementations.
Monitor the performance and event logs of installed products by creating and maintaining relevant documentation related to operational support.
Be part of the troubleshooting team for related incidents within the integrated environment, establish and improve support process as necessary.
Collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure system integrity and availability and work closely with Senior Developers to implement corporate standards and to identify and manage technical risks.
Develop custom software as required, conduct analysis to identify software change impacts interfaces, applications and processes.
Provide impact analysis of upgrades, patches and fixes for vendor software.
Upgrade software products with patches, and/ or implement new vendor software product releases.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree Engineering, Math or Computer Science with the coop option
Strong development skills in C and C++ as well as QT GUI programming
3-5 years of Linux or Unix development experience.
Experience with Socket Development is mandatory
Comfortable with writing scripts
BIOs experience and Linux kernel, UEFI is a plus
Candidate must be capable of self-management, and must be comfortable working alone or in small teams as the situation dictates.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
