朋友的问题不好意思问朋友,只好问大家

朋友住温市,年近知天命. 在过去的一年里经历了健康,家庭,工作三方面的大波折,至今仍在艰难跋涉中.曾经是同事,又较谈得来,偶尔email 往来,总是搜肠刮肚劝解安慰(怕想不开,有严重抑郁).

由于健康原因一直无法工作,同时家庭官司还在继续.很困惑这么长时间以来是如何维持生活的(没什么亲友可依靠,之前也没什么积蓄).不好明问,天各一方,曾经给过些帮助,但毕竟自己的条件也不允许多做.

我想问问大家,像朋友的这种情况,可以得到哪些social service的帮助?会持续多久?生活会维持在什么水平?打官司的费用怎么办?

先谢大家帮我解惑.

她今年报税了没？看看报税结果，她希望得到什么方面的支持？

没有问过报税的事.

精神方面,朋友自己一直说要挺住,要坚强.但担心抑郁病人会失去自控,做傻事. 加上严重失眠.

我想朋友可能一直在接受某种援助,不然怎么生活这么久.只是不好意思直问. 就想知道政府会有什么样的帮助给这样的人.

我只希望说，千万别盲目的去看什么心理医生，特别是这里经常提到的，一些提供的免费心理热线之类，因为他们当中很多的鱼龙混杂，我之前竟然也被去邀请参加这些心理热线当志愿者！
我根本没有心理学背景，如果没猜错，对方是女性吗？

如果需要申请一些social assistance,如果还是和mental health 相关的,那就需要去找楼上同学提到的 ministry of health 等政府机构funding的相关组织机构,并且需要psychiatric diagnosis. 有了这些,可以申请ODSP. 哦我说的这些是安省的,不知道BC省有哪些类似的社会支持系统.

朋友是这样说，我始终相信在别人最需要的时候帮一把是生命意义的一部分。雪中送炭胜过锦上添花。谢谢golsa的鼓励。
