[FONT=Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif][SIZE=-1]our client in Mississauga will be looking for an Inventory Analyst. The inventory analyst will be responsible for ensuring that stocks levels are optimized.You will be responsible for analyzing inventory levels, requirements and locations.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory levels, sales movement and inventory levels as required. This task could be daily weekly or monthly depending on the demands and requirements of various product categories (i.e. chain accounts, high volume items, and seasonal items).
  • Liaise with sales and procurement to ensure forecast accuracy.
  • Review product line performance regularly.
  • Ensure that products within the product line remain satisfactorily positioned to achieve forecasted business performance.
  • Continuously monitor inventory levels, inventory turns and aging while ensuring that order backlogs are kept to a minimum.
  • Communicate to sales channels, procurement team and management, inventory trends and issues in a timely manner. Assist in developing appropriate action plans.
  • Identify and report excess, expired and obsolete products to minimize the risk of write offs.
  • Work with Sales, Procurement and Operations teams to place inventory in the right regions to minimize freight and transfer costs.
  • 7 plus years experience as an Inventory Analyst.
  • Strong computer skills in Excel. Access and other Microsoft Office suite programs is an asset.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multi- task.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven track record to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Post secondary education in a related Inventory Management or Supply Chain Management program.
  • Accounting background is an asset.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our Mississauga Client for a Contract Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator with the opportunity to become permanent!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- MRP run and purchasing for different locations including follow ups/status check
- Receiving orders into the system
- Investigation and inquiries concerning transportation, logistics, imports/exports or related internal customers issues
- Entering Freight claims and following up with customers/clients
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes

Position Description

As a Sourcing Buyer on our Direct purchasing team you will manage ingredient categories and work on projects as required. There will be a focus on delivering cost savings, ensuring accurate category forecasts, and managing day to day business needs.
Provides strong leadership on their assigned categories and is regarded as the internal expert.
Perform in depth analysis of the global industry for assigned categories to bring forth recommendations on strategy.
Establish strong relationships with industry stakeholders with the goal of gaining superior insight into the future direction of the category.
Fully understands all aspects of the industry including supply and demand, cost drivers, target costs, technology, supplier profiles and capabilities.
Provides business units with future price forecasts, purchase price variance explanations and budget cost projections.
Develops long-term source plans and/or category sheets for the category and communicates the strategy and implications to the business.
Leads projects and the associated change management, in conjunction with suppliers and the business units that continually reduce costs through the supply chain.
Fully understands the capabilities of the supply base, including the supplier's supply base working on collective purchasing strategies for the supplier's raw materials.
