请问：第一个5年，满足5年住满2年的要求------这个五年的开始，是从第一次的登陆时间开始的呢，还是枫叶卡上expiry date向前推5年？ 我看到枫叶卡上这两个日期差将近2个月。

这种情况下，以第一次登陆日期为准，在此日以后的五年内要累计住满730天。在此阶段内，入境加拿大时需要让移民官相信，你在此五年内有可能住满730天。否则，也有被取消永居身份的可能。

第一个五年过后，下一个五年的计算方式又不太一样。楼主感兴趣可以看下这方面的法条，移民法IRPA中第28条的规定：

(b) it is sufficient for a permanent resident to demonstrate at examination
(i) if they have been a permanent resident for less than five years, that they will be able to meet the residency obligation in respect of the five-year period immediately after they became a permanent resident;
(ii) if they have been a permanent resident for five years or more, that they have met the residency obligation in respect of the five-year period immediately before the examination;

我的理解是：
1；以枫叶卡为准。
2；你（任何时刻）入关时，往前推5年（如果枫叶卡生效期不到5年，那么不足部份你可以认为接下去的时间会呆在加国），满足两年在加国即可。

正确应该是从你申请更新枫叶卡当天开始，往前推五年，要求注满两年，而不是以枫叶卡上的日期。

如果以枫叶卡或者第一次登陆的日期为准，那些短登的五年最后一天才入关的同学压根一辈子都不可能满足居住条件。

如果以枫叶卡或者第一次登陆的日期为准，那些短登的五年最后一天才入关的同学压根一辈子都不可能满足居住条件。

这个和上边的不符合啊！短登不申请枫叶卡？如果拿到枫叶卡，就成为PR，就有5年呆两年的限制吧。那些短登的五年最后一天才来，能不能入关要看海关人员了吧！

你说的“海关人员”是指在机场入关闸口查验护照、签证的那些穿制服的人吗？

那些人不是海关的，他们是加拿大边境服务局（CBSA）的。在CBSA的官网上，确实写着这么一句：

In addition, permanent residents are in breach of IRPA if they fail to meet the residency obligations set out in the Act. Permanent residents who are inadmissible for this reason may be issued removal orders.

入关的操作指南和更新枫叶卡是完全不同的两回事，而且现在温哥华和多伦多都实行电子过关了，你不给海关找麻烦一般他们也不会给你找麻烦。

我就是短登了下， 五后的最后几天再次登加拿大的， 现在刚住满两年2个月， 正在申请更新枫叶卡， 不知道啥时给我新的枫叶卡呢， 希望顺利吧
