write a sincere letter to visa officier to
apologize for your poor deicsion to stay on without visa, because you were young and sometimes do make decison on impulse, maybe be because you love canada too much, or love your lover too much and fearing losing him when away or any other reason convincing to arouse sympathy from whoever reads ur lettter.
address the officier just like a friend and seek help from him or her how you could win their trust again and what they needs from you to proove your marriage is real and genuine.
the tone of the letter should be pleasant and be a bit homour for your poor decision in the past and sincere for expecting help from officier

单纯的觉得这样也行的话。。。随便大家黑了反正些封情深义重的道歉信人家就给发visa。。。那还有何法律可言啊。。

话说的重了些但是楼长还是别抱希望了，为自己的错误行为承担责任吧

没有合法居留手段也能在加拿大结婚吗？
在中国结婚的涉外婚姻还要检查合法居留身份文件呢。。。

I totally agree below statement:

Remember, anyone can be spousal sponsorship applicant WITHIN Canada, NO MATTER HOW they entered this country. I think this policy itself proved the point above.

However, your past illegal staying hostory WILL certainly make the VO doubt more about your true motive behind your marriage. This is quite natural and NOT contradictory against the Canadian general policy to approve the reunion of ALL geniune couples (with only a few exceptions like criminal applicant or refusal to provide support).

All you need to do is BUILD A CASE to pusuade VO that while you are truly regretful about your past illegal stay in Canada, your current marriage is geniune, which means it's from the love, of the love, by the love, and for the love.

It may sound hard, but I believe you will makie it as long as you are sincere and candid about your marriage.

Theoretically, YES.

It's just like in USA and other western countries: illegal immigrants may legally gain permanant residence, after they marry to a citizen or permanent resident.

The logic behind this policy is: a free country should always allow its own people to reunion with their true spouses. Family reunion is always in high priority in these country's immigration laws.

找个好律师帮你把，而且要提供非常非常多的辅助材料证明你们关系的真实性，面试估计也是逃不了的，策划好再递申请，否则留下拒签记录后就更难办了，不是没有可能（如果是真实婚姻），但要特别小心
