I created an account to alert people in the GTA area of a scam going around.

There are salespeople from Ontario Home Services trying to mislead innocent people into believing that they are technicians sent from Direct Energy or Enbridge. They are dressed in navy jackets with the logo "Ontario Home Services", hold clipboards and wear photo ID. They will use tactics like they are here to check your water heater.

DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSE.

They will tell you that you are entitled to a "free" replacement at no cost because it doesn't meet safety regulations. They will then ask to see your gas bill. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING OR SHOW THEM ANY BILLS. Simply tell them you are not interested and close the door.

If they get pushy, copy down their ID and tell them you will call the cops if they don't leave your property.

Actually it's a 9.99% loan.

When they calculate out the payments you would be making, they're not fully amortizing the payments over the 10 years. Meaning you'll end up paying around $5200 over 10 years, and still owe around $1800 more when the loan reaches maturity. Aka, a balloon loan.

The actual rate and costs are buried in the fine print of what they get you to sign. And of course the sales guys are not at all upfront about this, because no one one would fall for their selling point.

看租约合同啊，一般是可以转的；下家买房时，一般经纪会检查这一项并对对方说明。如果租金合理，下家多半会接受，如果不接受，看合同吧，可能有penalty。
现在这社会，还有10年的租约？不是被无良销售欺骗了吧？

维修方面是否有不同，比如租的话是不是能保修。另外买是找同样出租的公司买还是自己随便到商场买？

租的话，东西不是你的！你还担心保修吗？坏了，如果没有合约的，他们不来修或者态度不好，直接换公司就是。这事我干过一次，具体过程太长不说了。
买断的话，找同样的公司，无法就是enbridge，reliance等几家，太小的公司别用。
