Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to send us a note voicing your Y2Play pass concerns. We hear you.
We’re all avid skiers and snowboarders, and while we’ll be the first to tell you that the 2014/15 winter at Grouse Mountain hasn’t been quite what we have become used to, we are confident that this season is an anomaly. It’s still early and we truly believe winter will arrive but we know it has been a disappointing start. We’re watching the forecast as closely as you are – we cross our fingers every time there is the slightest possibility of cold temperatures and/or snowfall. Our operations team has literally moved mountains this season.
While we ultimately have no control over the weather and its effects, we want to deliver the best possible experience to you. Since our opening date on November 15th, we’ve made, moved and stockpiled snow whenever possible. Our Grouse Parks crew and groomers have been keeping our terrain parks fresh and up-to-date. You might not know that we’ve had some incredible days, particularly during the temperature inversion we experienced in January.
Historically, some of our best snowfall comes in February and March so we’re confident that there is plenty of time remaining to enjoy your Y2Play pass. Remember, just two years ago we skied until May 5th. So, come up to pay us a visit! We’d love to see you and think you’ll be surprised by our snow coverage as we make the best of what Mother Nature has given us so far.
Y2Play is our deepest discount offering and has many ways to achieve its value. Thousands of passholders have used theirs to experience the Peak of Christmas, a casual dinner at Altitudes, and a family skate in addition to skiing and snowboarding. Since it only takes five visits to pay it off, your Y2Play pass is still the best value around and we truly hope you get up here soon to join us as we make the most of our winter.
The Snow Depth would represent the current snow level while snow making is a indicating the amount of snow we made this season. If you want to check the details on snow depth in different parts of Grouse, you can click on the “Weather” button located at the very bottom of our webpage beside “Snow Grind”; there will be detailed snow depth for the Peak and the Plateau area.
Kind Regards,
Guest Services Representative
