急问IT contractor基本问题：GST/HST

在线急问啊，基本问题了，但是我有点糊涂。

做IT contractor，合同里的单价说exclusive of GST/HST , 意思是不是说contractor要自己在里面扣除GST/HST交给税局？

合同是这样写的：(a) Consulting services will be compensated at rates described in Appendix B, Rate
Details (exclusive of GST/HST and any other applicable provincial sales taxes).
The Contractor’s anticipated level of effort is included in Appendix A – "Services
to be Provided".

最后Appendix B是这样写的：Fees for Services: $xx.00 + HST Hourly

问了中介，中介解释了，exclusive的意思就是中介　pay $xx.00 + y% GST/HST to contractor，contractor报税的时候把GST/HST部分给税局。
我一直以为ＧＳＴ／ＨＳＴ是contractor付的。。。

给你的单价是不含税价。所以给你发钱的时候是 单价*小时数*（1+gst). ----我在BC，所以税就是是gst。

我一开始还是甲方买东西的思维，想着不含税价是不是要自己交税。。。　现在我是卖服务，价格不含税，所以对方给的钱要在加税，明白了。。。

不好意思，上次没说清楚。因为过了两年，我也忘了怎么回事.
刚才查了下以前记录。
收到注册公司3个PDF文件后， 用公司的信息打电话去CRA，索取HST number ( business number)

你的GST 是在什么文件里？

发在多伦多版，因为这里人多， 而且我客户注册在多伦多，适用安省税率。

弱弱地问一下，为什么只需要GST号码，BC省的PST不需要退吗？还是另有其他途径？本人新手，虚心请教。

是不是因为，IT Contractor是不可以charge PST呢？
