Kathy Zhu's critics ask her to be expelled from UCF amid a recent campus hijab controversy. However, they have ignored a more compelling reason that the die-hard Trump cheerleader, while speaking loudly against immigrants, is probably a fake citizen herself.
One and a half months ago, Zhu shared her own immigration "by being patient” story on Twitter, which excluded all possible ways for her Chinese family including her to get Green Cards and citizenship except through fabricating a refugee claim.
In her story, her parents had limited funds and no American relatives upon their arrival but “worked very hard” to build a successful family business, which turned out to be a One Dollar store. This excludes family reunion and investor immigration and sets the possibilities of skilled worker or student visas very low. Chinese nationals aren't covered by lottery. The only remaining solution was asylum. There were allegations that the family had returned to China several times. That would nullify any asylum claim.
Facing questions from people who are familiar with the immigration system, Zhu falsely claimed her family had “saved up” enough money without knowing a minimum of $500K required by the law. She derided her critics for not being as successful and envying. She failed to defend her debunked story and blocked me.
Zhu's immigration fraud, if proven true, will be a great irony of her anti-refugee activism and overturn the scenario of this campus controversy. If she is staying in this country by deception and unfairly snatching public educational resources, she will lose her entire claim on freedom of hate speech on a campus where she doesn't really belong.
