Human Resources Manager

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Purchase all maintenance and production supplies/services upon receipt of purchase requests from other plant personnel.
2. Resolve any account payable queries and ensure all vendors and service providers are paid according the established purchasing terms.
3. Source out suppliers and service providers who would provide the best deals/services to IPEX.
4. Maintain and update approved contractor list and their WCB and insurance document for IPEX Edmonton locations.
5. Using IFOFLO, issue purchase order numbers, forwarding all necessary documentation pertaining to purchases (P.O.’s, packing slips) to plant receiver and corporate accounts payable.
6. Provide clerical assistance to maintenance personnel to maintain the maintenance work order database as needed.
7. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
A High School Diploma and College Diploma in Administration or Asset Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years related experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and pleasant telephone manner are essential.
Ability to exhibit diplomacy and tact in dealing with a wide variety of people and positions.
Advanced computer skills, MS Word, Excel, database and e-mail.
COMPLEXITY AND JUDGEMENT
Regularly encounters differing problems, which requires judgment to analyze and identify alternative course of actions where established procedures/policies may not exist and then apply new solutions or applications.
Work involves both routine and non-routine tasks requiring different and unrelated methods within authorized limits.
