刚刚得到消息，国内翻译及公证的驾照在加国可短期驾驶的梦想破灭了~ 此条款仅限学生。。。。 移民不享受此待遇~

我之前也是看坛子里有人这样说，昨天问了我在萨屯的姨妈，她说学生可以，新移民不能用，我狂郁闷

严重怀疑！这么说所有的中国人过来以后都无证驾驶了3个月？当然过了3个月无证驾驶的大有人在，照样没什么事。下面是我从萨省sgi网站拷贝下来的，请英文好的同学研究核实！

New residents who wish to drive in Saskatchewan must obtain a Saskatchewan driver's licence within 90 days of moving to the province, or upon expiry of their out-of-province licence whichever is earliest. If you are moving from another Canadian jurisdiction, the United States, the United Kingdom (including England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Gibraltar), Switzerland, South Korea, Isle of Man, Germany, Austria or Australia, and you hold a valid driver's licence there, you can apply for a Saskatchewan driver's licence at any Saskatchewan motor licence issuing office. You will be required to surrender your out-of-province driver's licence (except off-shore licences) at the time you apply for a Saskatchewan driver's licence, and you will be required to pay applicable driver's licence fees.
You will be considered a new driver unless you can prove more than 18 months driving experience (other than as a learner) in your previous jurisdiction. If you are deemed to be a new driver, you will be entered into the appropriate stage of Graduated Driver’s Licensing which is determined by the length of your driving experience from your previous jurisdiction. You must provide proof in the form of a driver abstract or driving record.
For new residents other than those from a Canadian jurisdiction, a current driver’s abstract/record is also required. The abstract/record needs to be printed less than 30 days from that date of licensing.
If you are moving from a jurisdiction outside Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, South Korea, Isle of Man, Germany and Austria, you will be required to complete written, vision and road examinations prior to being issued a Saskatchewan driver's licence.Note: Road test results will determine whether you are placed in the Graduated Driver's Licence program or issued an experienced driver's licence

大卫发来的这段话貌似没有提到中国的驾照可以驾驶3各月呀~

不需要在国内做翻译公证。
1.来了以后，到OPENING DOOR做个翻译，15$。
2.或者到http://www.dollar-ntours.cn，里面有个自助翻译。
我用的就是第二个方式，昨天租到的车。

没有限制是学生还是新移民么？ 国内翻译公正拿过去，那边承认么？ 也就是肯定能租到是吧？ 方便告诉我租车的网址么，感谢

国内的翻译公证肯定是可以用的。
但是超过一定时间，必须要考驾照。我是来短期旅游的，所以没有了解那么详细。
租车公司很多 HERTZ, AVIS, BUDGET, ENTERPRISE,之类的，机场附近就有好几个。
建议最好在国内买个GPS带来。买的时候，要求卖家给你装好北美地图。

这些租车公司，都可以从网上预订，你可以上他们的网站，先研究一下。
比如，www.hertz.com, www.avis.com

新移民登陆，如果你持有国内的有效驾照的话，在落地三个月之内可以用驾照公证件+驾照原件上路。但是，三个月之后就无效了，若出事故的话，就违法了。我没拿过国内驾照加公证件租车，但是你可以试一下，我觉得是可行的。建议来了之后，尽快考一个笔试。
