Dealer- Level 1
Anyone chosen for the Dealer Level 1 position will go through a
3 week paid training course. Upon successful completion of the course you will be offered the Dealer Level 1 position with Edgewater Casino.
Reporting to the Dealer Supervisor, the Level-1 Dealer will deal casino card games to Table Games customers in accordance with established gaming rules and procedures, while maintaining the highest level of customer service. The successful Level-1 Dealer demonstrates exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, thrives in fast-paced environment, and possesses a strong working knowledge of all Level-1 games (i.e. Blackjack, plus secondary games such as Baccarat, 3 Card Poker, 4 Card Poker, etc.). Physical demands include standing/sitting for up to 8 hours, as well as the consistent dealing of table games in a repetitive manner for 45-minute intervals, with 15-minute breaks scheduled in-between.
Qualifications
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated excellent Customer service/relations.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Level-1 games.
• Strong working knowledge of Baccarat
• Ability to clearly follow established policies and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Strong hand dexterity and coordination.
• Ability to get along well with others with demonstrated efforts in teamwork.
• Respectful approach and demeanour.
• Proven superior customer service experience
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate needs of a casino environment.
• Required to either stand or sit for up to 8 hours/day.
General Responsibilities and Duties
• Provide professional and courteous customer service in accordance with established company standards.
• Deal casino games in an efficient, precise and competent manner, in accordance with established company and BCLC polices and procedures.
• Deal casino table games repetitively for 45-minute intervals, with 15-minute breaks in between each interval.
• Report all casino disputes and irregularities to Supervisor on duty.
• Knowledge of all promotions and events for the week/month.
• Responsible for providing professional and exceptional customer service in accordance with established company standards
Location: Downtown Vancouver
Compensation: $10.25 per hour
