能走得动就行，过去的同事不少是5、60的，有的是其他部门退休的来做。没准等我退休了会回来重操旧业呢。

不是我好.我们家是有福轮流享享.

男人前辈子拼搏了够辛苦了,后辈子就该享福享福了.做人不能老这么辛苦的.

在温哥华,男人的机会远小于女人的.前辈子享福过的小女人,能撑就多撑点.

没出这个帖子前,我总跟家里的领导说,出来你也不用急着找工作,帮我看看孩子,自己读个电工证.

现在不能这么安慰他了,就让他帮我看看孩子,还读个什么证得另外再考虑了.

我研究过阿尔伯塔的，说是有mechnical engineer背景的可以直接考试，但我老公是welding engineer，他们说不算mechnical，说不能考，不知道你是怎么考的？

你是直接问的ABSA吗? WELDING ENGINEER 应该让考四级证. 不过你先生有这样的背景, 不如直接找WELDING EXAMINER 或者SHOP QC的工作, 在ALBERTA 有很多机会.

我研究过阿尔伯塔的，说是有mechnical engineer背景的可以直接考试，但我老公是welding engineer，他们说不算mechnical，说不能考，不知道你是怎么考的？

各人背景不同，无可比性。我有几个毕业证书，热动，机电，环工，管理，而且我在国内电厂做过超过10年，从运行、检修做到总工；在本地企业做过power engineer（trainee），还在bcit上过课，所以各方面没有问题。bcsa甚至同意我直接考3级，只是我没信心没敢去。

是问的absa，他们说welding engineer不算mechnical engineer，没有operate经验，不符合条件。现在有个公司准备给他offer，但让他先上iqas做证明他的学历可以考2级power engineer。
他毕业后搞了10年的锅炉检验，没搞过焊接方面的。

AB和BC的要求还是有些差距，bc我知道一些；不过我过去查过AB的，他们有一种海外牌照认可，应该对你们更合适

Fourth class power engineer is an entry level. Anyone with post-secondary engineering degree should be allowed to challenge the exam. I know couple guys with chemical or mechanical background who got their fourth class ticket by write ABSA exam directly.
Anyway with ten years inspection experience, your husband should be able to find a boiler and pressure vessel inspector job and this is a career even better than power engineer because you do not have to work on shift.

yes, we know the boiler inspector is better than power engineer, but his english is not good enogh to get one. actually, he applied one but failed. so he wants to get into the field first, which the power engineer would be the ideal one. Are you sure anyone with any engineer degree can chanllenge the exam, not only mechanical engineer? Are you in alberta? can we talk?

boiler inspector在BC要二级或一级牌，最直接的就是去问sa。

你的情况最好不要走trades之路，我理解。
有机会还是去学校读点什么吧
我当初做保安有多种原因，经济是主要原因
能做和自己背景相近的还是省力，再改行终归心里没底气。
