不明白为啥中国人自己不能容忍自己的方言，尤其还是在外国。有一些早年的移民他们的思想还完全停留在过去，那是历史的原因，他们不理解，也不勉强他们理解。

我就不相信在国内，如果在上海，就没有那种瞧不起不会说上海话的人，在北京，没有那种瞧不起不会说北京话的人。一种米养百种人，LZ的看法太主观而且片面了。我总觉得无论神马方言，如果有用就学一点呗，反正也不会少块肉。不爱听就搬走呗，在这里还是有这种自由的。

顺便一提，楼主说广东人和香港人、上海人一样瞧不起其他地区的人

首先，我要说明不是全部广东人都是这样，至少我没有；

另外，上海人我不了解所以不评价；

最后，香港人我了解一部分，公正地说，当中也有一部分是持公平态度对待中国大陆人的，不过大部分香港人都对中国大陆有一种偏见这是事实，而且大部分持这种态度的香港人都属于97回归前就移民国外的老移民

Honestly, having been a well-educated and highly civilised human being with a master's degree in political science for over 20 years, I woudn't dare to act with any signs of disrespectful behaviour towards my own boss regardless of any circumstances as that's the person from whom I receive my salary. I assume everyone who pretty much has the same level of logic and common sense in mind as much as I have would definitely do the same too.

By the way, whom the heck do you think you're refering to as a clown? Yourself? Of couse not because you're even worse than a clown you poor twerp! Go back to school to learn how to live like a true human being in a respctful and humble manner! 麻烦了！除了学英语，还要学粤语？

哪里都有某小部分的人带有歧视的眼光,但我觉得说广东话的总体上来说还是很包容的.从广东农村卖菜的阿婆会因为有越来越多的顾客说普通话而学习普通话可以看出.
我认识香港的朋友聚会的时候假如有一个不懂粤语的都会用他们很粗陋,口音完全不正确的普通话来交流,实在不会说才会用英语.
随着越来越多国语使用者来到列治文居住与工作,不会粤语的在列治文生活也是完全没问题的.
