IT Group has an opening for a Systems Center Analyst in the Toronto, ON office.​

Key Responsibilities:　​

Responsibilities include:　　

• • Provide day to day support for the Windows Environment
    
  • Plan, recommend and implement any changes in this environment
    
  • Adhere to established service level agreements.
    
  • Analyze and resolve database and application issues affecting Windows environment
    
  • Test and implement new releases, patches and updates to all system
    
  • Provide support for Enterprise System Center (SCCM and SCOM) environment
    
  • Plan, recommend and implement any changes in this environment
    
  • Monitor and report on events, usage and capacity of all Aecon’s systems using System Center tools
    
  • Follow and improve IT Event Management guidelines
    
  • Participate in the day to day IT Operations of Technology Infrastructure Services team.
    
  • Package and deploy vendor and in-house applications to systems and servers using SCCM.
    
  • Develop server, desktop and laptop imaging process
    
  • Participate in the support of applications through the ticketing system.
    
  • Deploy database and application changes to production using change management/release management policies and procedures.
    
  • Escalate critical issues to manager in a timely manner
    
  • Provide recommendations for improvements for unplanned activities
    
  • Ability to work weekends and after hours.
    
  • Coordinates with onsite third party vendors and technicians as required
    
  • Other duties as assigned
    
  • On Call as per Aecon on Call policy
    
  • Shift work is required.

Skills and Qualifications:​

• • Minimum 5 years experience working with Windows server platform
    
  • Experience working with Microsoft System Center suite of products (SCCM, SCOM)
    
  • Experience supporting SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 as Database Analyst
    
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
    
  • Basic Keyboarding skills
    
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
    
  • Ability to work at least eight hours per day

Ability to lift and carry computer systems and peripheral
