其实都不用。
身份证复印，然后附上一页自己翻译的。 户口本没做公证。 已经体检了。

材料清单第7点中:
National IDs, family/household registry/book ,
checklist 开头又说" if your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized translation with a copy of the original version" .


护照复印件也是中文的, 也要公证吗?

不知我这个原件补料信是不是和你那个一个版本。我这个是完全不同的话：If your docts are not in Eor F, they must be accompanied by the E or F translation completed by a certified translator and a copy of the origional document.

找个有翻译资质的人签个字就行了。

你们说的情况是指现在的吗？2012年4月的补料信？我收到的checklist是这样说的：If your documents are not in English or French,they must be accompanied by the English or French translation completed by a certified translator and a copy of the original document.

我的问题是那些文件的复印件要certified，而国内似乎没有这类的经验。
CIC网上对文件复印件是说要证明certified，有谁就近做过？certified是证明吧，不是公证对吧？

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

* “I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
* the name of the original document,
* the date of the certification,
* his or her name,
* his or her official position or title, and
* his or her signature.

Who can certify copies?

Persons authorized to certify copies include the following:

In Canada:

* a commissioner of oaths
* a notary public
* a justice of the peace

Outside Canada:

* a judge
* a magistrate
* a notary public
* an officer of a court of justice
* a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living

我和CIC通过电话，我当时不是问复印件的问题，我问的是我父亲已经过世，是否还要死亡证书和结婚证，他说要把那些证书拿到加拿大来翻译，还要资格翻译。我说象那些出生证和家属证明已经公证了，而且有翻译的公证，他还是说不行，要原件到加拿大翻译。现在这个复印件的证明好像比办公证更麻烦。

你基本上是概念没弄清楚。certified copy不同于translation by certified translator. certified copy只是证明你那个复印件是个真的复印件，内容没有被更改过，还是中文的。translation by certified translator是由有翻译证书的人翻译的复印件，翻译完了是英文的。

对，你要是仔细看看那封信，里面有一句话：公证件不行，必须是翻译人翻译的

网上问的问题多是问东答西，要不就是众说纷纭，权威的答案还是自己去问CIC,
我知道了，什么公证都不要，是大家把简单的事情复杂化了。

我认为让这边的翻译师翻译一下就可以了，而且可能比在国内做什么公证更便宜省事！
