Understanding the Oath
In Canada, we profess our loyalty to a person who represents all Canadians and not to a document such as a constitution, a banner such as a flag, or a geopolitical entity such as a country.
In our constitutional monarchy, these elements are encompassed by the Sovereign (Queen or King). It is a remarkably simple yet powerful principle: Canada is personified by the Sovereign just as the Sovereign is personified by Canada.

有图有真相, 你拿着这个照片随便去问任何人, 她是不是大英帝国的女王伊丽莎白二世?
不是英女王, 难道是法国男王? 难道是天朝的女王啊?
至于你非要说她不是英女王, 而是加拿大女王, 这个属于舍本逐末.
人家的也许是兼任了加拿大女王这个身份, 但人家的主要身份就是英女王. 加拿大女王的身份说不定哪天人家不高兴就不要了, 就像澳大利亚女王一样吧(大概?). 但不见得人家能放弃英女王的身份吧.
