人都有禁忌。比如，中国人在很多场合禁忌谈死亡。如果某族人明知中国人在谋求吉利的场合却非要提死亡的事情，这也会被看作是一种挑衅，也可能会被打。

个人冒犯后的反击可以理解，这个基于大家有一个普遍的公认的标准，比如攻击对方的家人。
但自己定了个规矩，别人不认可就使用暴力，就不对了吧。如果再上升为一个群体行为，对不是这个群体里的人就会产生不适

其实，为天下思考和发声是知识分子的传统，被很多知识分子看作是自己的社会责任。能称得上是public intellectual的是那些在这方面做得特别突出的知识分子。
