我在新东方学英语时，外教师用“connection”,而且，我查字典，（因为要去北美生活，所以，就以朗文为主要参考），参看以下词条解释：
transfer noun
especially American English a ticket that allows a passenger to change from one bus, train etc to another without paying more money
connection noun
a train, bus, or plane which is arranged to leave at a time which allows passengers from an earlier train, bus, or plane to use it to continue their journey
所以，我觉得transfer 指的是“票”；connection 指的是“交通工具”。
另外，关于名次的单复数的问题，其中“staff”是单数形式作为复数应用（个人意见），请看这个例子（还是朗文的）：

The staff were very helpful.
还有，scarf
plural scarfs or scarves [countable]

striped的原型是stripe, 中文意思是“条纹,斑纹;线条，条纹,斑纹;线条，加上了“ed”后的意思是“有条纹的”。它是名词
我的意思是，我是一只条纹猫，不是“被剥皮的猫”，或者是“不穿衣服的猫”。这是很严重的个人生活问题，不要开玩笑的说。
stripedcat, 是以“e”结尾的动词，所以里面的"i"发音是“ai”(按汉语拼音读)，直接加“d”；strip,的"i"发音是“yi””(按汉语拼音读)，以“p”浊辅音结尾，过去式“p”要双写在加上“ed”

My car really gets dirty throughout the week from dust and dirt on the road and in the air, so I pull it into the driveway or on my lawn and give it a good wash. I get a bucket, a sponge, some rags, and some car soap, and I'm ready to go. I first use the hose to soak and loosen the grim on the car. windshield：风挡
headlinght：前灯
front fender：前保险杠还是前挡泥板？

看来肯定不是前保险杠，而是装在前车轮周围的那部分，也不是挡泥板，叫什么名称好呢？
