> Fleming Drive Investigation
>
> The London Police Service is continuing the investigation of the
> disturbance on Fleming Drive on March 17 & 18, 2012. Twenty
> investigators have been assigned to the investigation and they are
> diligently going about the process of obtaining video and still images
> from a variety of social media and other sources, then attempting to
> identify those persons recorded committing a criminal offence. Once
> identified, they will be located and charged. Photographs of those
> persons that cannot be identified will be made available to the public
> through the London Police Service website at
www.police.london.ca
> <
http://www.police.london.ca/> . Members of the public may then email

mailto:FlemingDriveIncident@fanshawec.ca> to
> forward information and/or attachments, or call 519-660-5842 for

> This will be a tedious and time-consuming process that will require
> patience on behalf of the media and public. The police recognize the
> media and public interests in this event, and also recognize that those
> interests must be balanced with a methodical investigation that will
> result in the conviction of those involved. It should be noted that
> offenders are still being identified from the Vancouver riot on June 15,
> 2011. Although we have dedicated twenty members to the Fleming Drive
> investigation, we need to remain cognizant of the need to provide
> appropriate resources to police the remainder of the community.
>
> We recognize that a number of Fanshawe College students have been
> charged and anticipate more will be identified and charged. We have also
> charged, and will be charging more non-students. It is important to
> recognize that while a very small number of students have been charged
> to date, approximately 17,000 full time students and 40,000 part time
> students who attend Fanshawe College were not, in any way, involved in
> this disturbance. Also, it is nothing less than admirable that a large
> number of Fanshawe College students have come together and created a
> Facebook page where pictures of offenders committing criminal offences
> are posted for the sole purpose of assisting the police investigation.
> That assistance has already identified additional offenders and charges
> are forthcoming.
>
> The London Police Service will be issuing regular media releases that
> will identify those charged since the previous media release, and will
> include up-to-date statistics on arrests and charges.
