I am so sorry to keep you waiting. There are multicultural activities going on in the hospital this whole week to celebrate the Canada National Day and I was invovled in and busy with many of the organizing routines.

I have sent through email your questions to one of the doctors specializing in pharmacy and am waiting for his answer. I will let you know as soon as I get his feedback.

Trillium hospital is best in cardiology, stroke, neurosurgery, and houses a very good emergency center. However, this may not be the best alternative for pediatrics or precocious puberty. You are OK to look for necessary information from this hospital but you may have to look for a good specialist in your required area in other hospitals.

Are you able to check the English websites the related information?

Good idea. The only concern I have is that I cannot guarantee timely help online. The word 'Service' seems to bear too heavy a responsibility for me. Make it a discussion or a chat or whatever casual. Thanks

至今还没有收到医生的答复，我也很替你着急，因此，去咨询了药房药剂师。这个药是处方药，如果医生给开处方，药店可以买到。但是，这个药更多地用于治疗前列腺癌。用于您说的情况的，这个药剂师说她见得不多。还需要咨询有关专家。另外，她还为我复印了有关这个药的参考资料（英文的），如果你可以读英文，我可以扫描给你。有进一步信息，我再给你提供。

I can help you only within my capabity. Pertaining to your above comment, it is for sure you are able to get the medication in a pharmacy. The thing is that your family doctor will have to agree to prescribe it to you. Here is some information on an endocrine speicialist who accept new patients and that you may need if you come to Toronto. It is good to talk to him if possible.

对的。
我今天咨询了医生。一位医生不清楚这药。另一位知道这种药，但他说这种药在这里多用于治疗前列腺。用于治疗儿童XXX病的，不是很清楚，一定要问endocrinologist。具体情况还是要同专科医生谈。我还是建议您找一位专科医生了解。有些具体情况，我没有办法介绍，因而得不到太有价值的信息。我查了一些英文网站上的相关信息，上面有提到您说的治疗XXXXX的药物。似乎跟您提到的治疗方法差不多。是否也可以参考？

下面是我求助的医院药剂师针对您的问题的答复。他也是非常热情，希望他的回复能对您有帮助。
The medicine is available in Canada under the brand name of Trelstar. Its official indication in N. America is: "Palliative treatment of advanced prostate cancer; considered alternative therapy when orchiectomy or estrogen therapy is not appropriate or is unacceptable to the patient."

However, it is not a restricted access drug, so it is possible to administer the drug for other indication IF the physician choose to.

It is a prescription drug not OTC. It is chemo drug so that means it is not readily available at any pharmacy. They would have to make a special order for it. But it can be done.
