News on the Career Handbook


After we released the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2006 we informed users of our intention to revise the Career Handbook. The objective was to integrate the NOC changes into the Career Handbook to maintain consistency between the two documents. Upon closer examination we found that the NOC modifications would not significantly affect the quality of the Career Handbook.

Our priorities over the next few years are concentrated on a significant revision of the NOC for Census 2011 with both structural and detailed descriptive changes. As this project progresses and revisions are finalized, we intend to integrate these NOC changes into the next edition of the Career Handbook.

In addition to the activities described above, in 2009 we will improve the ?Search by: Descriptor Scale Ratings? feature of the current Career Handbook Web site.

By delaying the revision of the Career Handbook we will be able to align both documents in a streamlined manner with synchronized release dates. We trust users will welcome this news as it will require no modification of work systems or processes for the next few years.

我也是新手，想请问各位如果紧缺职业列表出来后自己不在其中，就不打算递了吗？就此放弃，还是等自己条件改变之后重新递？
为什么不赶在表出来之前递？是因为申请费不退，不想花冤枉钱吗？
我是大学老师，我问中介，中介说要赶在列表出来前递，否则前景不乐观。。。uuu

表格已经递交了大概10天了，仍然没有收到确认信，至今仍然在焦急等待中。。。。。
