Looking for students who are experienced or inexperienced tree planters and brushers for work based out of Prince George.

Ability to work hard, keep a positive mindset, have determination, and ability to take direction are critical to success.

Tree planting is piece work and brushing is paid as a day rate. Start date is May 1st with a commitment date of August 7th.

We will be working 4 days on with 1 day off and will have 2 days off every few shifts.

Typically our summers begin with 4-6 weeks working out of a hotel. Followed by logging camps and bush camps.

A typical daily average is about $150-$200+ for rookies. Vets obviously have more experience and will earn more.

Would you want to work in a treeplanting camp this summer? We are hiring an assistant cook for the 2013 season, which runs from early May - late July. We work three or four days on and then have one day off.

The right person for this job is an incredibly hard worker, and enjoys cooking. If you're looking for an easy-going, fun, summer job where you'll meet some cool people, this is the wrong job for you. These jobs can be miserable and exhausting. But you make a lot of money, and it can be very satisfying. If you, yourself, don't know much about treeplanting camps, maybe talk to some people who do before applying. Most likely you will be living in a tent. It's frigidly cold at first and then in the summer it will be scorching hot.

In the kitchen you would be responsible for a lot of cleaning, chopping, and serving. You would be making a lot of salads and salad dressings, a lot of cookies, bars, squares, cakes, pies, etc. A valid drivers license would be good. Experience camping would be helpful I suppose. A passion for making food from scratch is essential.

This is skilled mechanical work at the journeyman level in the maintenance and repair of various types of equipment. This position performs general mechanical overhauls and maintenance work on a wide variety of mowing and parks maintenance equipment. Additionally, directs the work of equipment operators or assistants in the overhaul or repair of mobile equipment and uses standard tune-up equipment for internal combustion engines. This position also performs related work as required.​

Up to high school graduation is needed along with completion of a recognized apprenticeship in the automotive trade, considerable general experience applicable to the work or an equivalent combination of training and experience. An ability to work independently is needed along with considerable knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions related to the trade. A valid Trades Qualification (TQ) ticket in Commercial Transport or Heavy Duty Mechanics is preferred along with a Class 3 BC Driver’s License with air brake endorsement.​

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Earth's Own Food Company Inc. is a leading manufacturer of nondairy beverages. This rapidly expanding company markets its products in Canada and to the United States, Hong Kong and Korea. Earth's Own has production facilities in Ontario, and British Columbia.

The successful candidate will work primarily in the plant on Annacis Island as a journeyman Millwright.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and repair of conveyors, pumps, filling equipment and PLE equipment in a fast paced food and beverage manufacturing plant.
• Reading and interpreting blue prints and installation of new equipment.
• Machining parts for repair and overhaul of equipment.
• Other duties related to plant and equipment maintenance.
• Carries out other related duties as required
• Working Knowledge of HMI as they relate to processing, filling equipment in a food-manufacturing environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years, full-time experience as a maintenance mechanic in a busy plant environment.
