You,sir,are a writer.
Setting: Aboard the train
Mood: Adventurous
Boarding the train
Two shadows crouched in the dense vegetation besides the rusting, dirty railroad tracks. They stood, unmoving, waiting for the distant smudge, coming from over the hills. It grew steadily larger as it approached its stop. As the battered, old train came to a screeching halt, two boys swiftly dashed onto the shelter of an empty boxcar. The shrill sound of the whistle still hung in the air as the familiar scenery began to fall behind. Safe from the pursuing railroad workers, Ponyboy and Johnny slumped against the rough, wooden walls of the boxcar. The train picked up speed, and the landscape became a green blur, dotted with flashes of yellow and whiter from the meadow flowers. The musky aroma of the wood, along with the rocking of the train, soon drove the exhausted Ponyboy into a heavy sleep. In the distance, the sun was rising up from the horizon, casting the meadow in golden rays; the boys’ escapade has begun.
