Two years after I called Toronto my home, I landed a full time job in the city. It's been four years now. Recently, I am also teaching at a local public college. When I first started this part-time job, English was my biggest concern. Majority of my students are native English speakers but I, as their instructor, only speak English as second language. I did received some complaints about my accent, but not for my teaching skills. Actually, I finished a full course with great success. After the first semester, I can proudly say I won't be afraid of teaching in English any more.
