你的翻译极佳，精准而生动，非高手而不能为。我觉原文中这半句话的翻译难就难在必须顾及到具象与抽象、俗与雅、显与隐之间的平衡。我觉得我的翻译在雅俗、隐显方面都还算恰当，只是在具象与抽象这个维度上尚待商榷，似乎有些过于具体。
看来对语言的品味与把握是永无止境的过程。

大约4500年前，黄帝族部落首领轩辕氏统一了黄河流域各部族之后，即开始了“巡游四海，登昆仑山，起宫室于其上”，并将其称为“轩辕之丘”，还与这里一个部落的“西陵氏之女”嫘祖结为夫妻，从此开始了黄河流域与西域远古民族间的经济、文化交流。
历史进入商周奴隶制社会时期，中原和西域的联系更为频繁。前往中原商王朝朝拜的部落小国，最远者为葱岭以西五百里的渠搜国，位于渠搜国东面的罗布泊地区自然也在其列。周王的先祖古公禀父将自己的大臣季绰分封于葱岭以西，建立了赤乌氏国，并嫁以长女，将政治权力扩展到此。”

The Primordial Qi was full of confusion and chaos. Prehistoric people believed that the water of the Yellow River rushing to the East billowing and surging had originated in the polar of heaven in the West, springing from an unfathomable primordial substance. Thus, the Kunlun Mountain had become the abode of the Queen Mother of the West and God's city on earth.
About 4500 years ago, Xuan Yuan Shi, leader of the Yellow Emperor clan united all the tribes in the Yellow River Drainage Area. Then he started "touring the Four Oceans, mounting the Kunlun mountain, building palaces on top of it," and naming it "Mound of Xuan Yuan." He also took Lei Zu, "daughter of Xi Ling Shi" from a local tribe as his wife, inaugurating the prehistoric economic and cultural exchanges between the Yellow River Drainage Area and the Western Regions.
When history moved on to the era of slave societies of Shang and Zhou, contact between the Central Plains and Western Regions had become more frequent. Among the small tribal states that had traveled to the court of the Shang Dynasty in the Central Plains to pay tribute, the most remotely located was the state of Qusou, 500 Li to the west of Congling Mountains. The Lop Nur Area, located to the east of Qusou, was naturally among those that paid tribute to Shang. Gong Bing Fu, the ancestor of the Zhou Kings, enfeoffed his minister Ji Chuo to the west of the Congling Mountains to establish the state of Chi Wu Shi, and married his eldest daughter to Ji Chuo, thus extending his political power to this area.
